Travel Insurance (Corporate & Personal)

Travel insurance is available for corporate and private travel.

Travel insurance is generally broken down into sections of cover as outlined below:

  1. Overseas Medical and Dental Expenses
  2. Travel disruption including loss of deposits and missed transport connection
  3. Loss/Theft of baggage, personal belongings, money or travel documents
  4. Hire vehicles excess waiver
  5. Personal liability
  6. Kidnap and ransom
  7. Personal accident and sickness (business travel only)
  8. Political unrest and natural disaster evacuation

Cover for travel insurance will normally commence at the time the insured leaves their normal place of business or normal residence (whichever is the point of departure) and continue on a 24 hour basis until the insured returns to his normal place of business or residence whichever occurs first.

Corporate travel insurance is designed to cover all authorized business travel (up to a specified period of time either 3 or 6 months) plus any associated private or leisure travel. Any accompanying spouse and dependent children are also generally included as “insured persons”. Upon request, corporate travel insurers will also normally include private only travel for directors and company senior executives (Up to 30 days).

When effecting travel insurance you will automatically receive an “emergency assistance” benefit. This additional benefit is an emergency assistance service that can be accessed from anywhere in the world without any charge to the traveller.
This service includes access to a team of skilled doctors, medical professionals and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Premiums for travel insurance are dependent on the destination, length of travel and age/health of the traveler. Some areas/countries are not automatically covered by a standard policy, however cover can be modified with the insurer to include such destinations upon request.
